It was wonderful to see the Johnsons again for their annual Fall photos! This year’s set included the kids’ grandmother, as well, which I love to see. It’s always special to capture several generations of a family!

Families & KidsToby’s mom wanted a bright and citrusy milk bath for his 6 month photos. This age is so fun and adorable since a lot of babies are beginning to sit up more, which means new poses! His big sis even got in on the fun when he was finished. 😊

Families & KidsI really missed these guys last year when I was on Covid hiatus. I’ve been doing annual sessions with them since 2015, back when Silas and Avery were tiny, so it’s crazy to see how tall they’re getting these days! Ridenour Lake was a perfect Fall location, too — so many leaves on the trails!

McKenzie wanted a sunset session in a field, along with some couples shots with her boyfriend, and I think they turned out gorgeous. We were lucky that this evening was one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a long time; so many colors!

Cosplay, EventsI’m vaccinated and back at it, after a 441 day hiatus!
May 8th will be Black Fae Day, a celebration of Black representation in fantasy and fiction. My friend Alicia (of Kiss A Frog Cosplay) put together this stunning Viceroy butterfly ensemble, and I was more than happy to trek down to a local creek with her and get shooting! They turned out just as magical as we’d hoped, and I dunno about you, but I’m SO excited to see all the other photos that will be shared on the 8th! Take a peek at a few faves!

Events, Families & KidsBecause of Covid, I hadn’t seen this family in quite some time, but it was great to work with them again for little Mayah’s first birthday! She was such a good-natured baby and so fun to shoot. Big sis Norah was a big help, of course!
