Where do sessions take place?
I’m a natural-light photographer and don’t work out of a studio, so all sessions take place at the outdoor location of your choice. For example, I frequently shoot sessions at Coonskin Park, the Sunrise Carriage Trail, downtown Charleston, and the Capitol building and grounds. Other great locations are Dunbar Wine Cellar Park, Ridenour Lake, Little Creek Park, and Kanawha State Forest. If you have a “look” in mind, let me know — I’ll scout out a perfect location for it!
What is your availability?
I’m a stay-at-home mom to my 10-year-old daughter, so I balance work and family by offering limited sessions each week, typically on Fridays through Sundays, and occasionally weekdays. If you contact me for a session, I’ll be sure to let you know all your available options!
Should I choose one or two hours?
It’s entirely up to you, but my recommendation is that one-hour sessions are typically best for kids and families, since children tend to burn out quickly. Two-hour shoots are best for sessions with multiple locations and outfits, such as engagements or seniors.
How will I receive my photos?
All sessions include an online gallery (and DVD, if requested) of all quality images from your shoot — fully-edited and in high-resolution — plus black-and-white conversions. You will also receive a print release with shared copyright to use for printing at your convenience. Your photos may be downloaded by anyone you care to share your gallery with!
For most sessions, you can expect a next-day preview on my Facebook page, and gallery availability within 1 to 2 weeks.
Do you do events?
Sure thing! I’m available for anywhere from 30 minutes up to 2 hours of coverage at events such as baby showers, birthday parties, cake smashes, baptisms, holidays, proms, sweet sixteens, and more. For events longer than 2 hours, please contact me about pricing!
Do you shoot weddings or newborns?
Due to the time commitment involved in these types of sessions, I’m no longer booking them. I’m still available for maternity, engagements, and small elopements, however!
